Robo-Bike

2011
One of a Kind

This sculpture consists of nearly forty individual castings. It was a challenge to weld it together, but I was happy with the result. The piece depicts a futuristic bike which accommodates its own fighting force comprised of robot henchmen. The total length is twenty-nine inches and the bronze weighs nearly forty pounds.

Texas Rat

2010
Edition of 9

Vincent told Ian Miller a story about a goblin riding a rat in the general vicinity of the Villafranca Sculpture foundry. Ian took that story, turned it into his 2D vision of what the scene must have looked like & then Vincent took the drawing & turned it into a 3D sculpture!

The Illie Award

The Illie Award honors the best traditionally-created work of fantastic art, within a given year, as voted on by the members of the Illustration Exchange. This 2010 bronze, aka The Brush Wielder, was used as the award for 2010. The award was presented at IlluXCon 3 and the winner was Mark Zug for his painting entitled Helium.

Presented to Joss Whedon in 2009.
Named in honor of Ray Bradbury, the cast bronze statuette references Bradbury's The Martian Chronicles, while the IBM Selectric type ball used for the figure's head is indicative of Bradbury's stated preference for using an IBM Selectric typewriter.
